He has had the privilege to work for and work with some of the renowned names in the world of Interior Design. He uses the power of layering different textures and mediums to create a space that reflects the personality of its users, by working with our exclusive team of craftsmen and vendors from across the world to deliver a functional work of art. He aims for perfection in every inch through detailing every millimeter which is why he believes that a perfectly tailored, polished, and precise space reflects who you are.
Located in one of the quieter lanes of South Delhi, this house comprises a living room, dining room, family room, two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a powder room. It is quite a mix of influences. It’s a story expressed through different mediums. I started to build layers and would describe the result as Eclectic-Luxe.
The design approach for this apartment has been a tad bit different, the reason being I was my client. I knew I will be focusing a lot on art and sculptures that I have been collecting from my travels. The space planning was done in a way that the spaces are well connected yet don’t interfere with each other.
Keeping in mind, it is a residential space, the idea was to create edgy interior corners with interesting pieces of furniture, art, and sculptures while everything else becomes incidental. There’s an element of surprise mostly in every line of sight.
Basis of the composition takes dark color, which is rare in the decoration of Indian spaces. We have a special relationship with color and it is very clearly expressed in the different spaces. There is a stream of consciousness in the colors used in the house, connecting one corner to another.
This space breaks the norms of a conventional Indian residence, and in one simple word can be described as “CURATED”. The objective was to create something you can see in any part of the world. While the walls become the perfect backdrop for art, objects collected from all over the world, textiles, the essence of the space primarily comes from Art. Some of the art is quirky, some of it is rebellious, some of it is inspired from memories of childhood, and some of it is based on what, we as a society, have become.
