In the heart of Gurgaon, where the city's rhythm is fast-paced and relentless, Zen Sanctuary emerges as an oasis of calm. Designed by Chhaya Sharma of Design Artec, this residence beautifully blends Japandi, Balinese, and contemporary aesthetics, transforming a 4-bedroom apartment into a luxurious 3-bedroom retreat.

A Harmonious Fusion of Design Styles
“The design is rooted in tranquility, minimalism, and understated luxury,” explains Chhaya Sharma. With a careful interplay of organic forms, warm hues, and natural materials, this residence radiates a sense of balance and serenity. The seamless blend of Japandi simplicity, Balinese warmth, and contemporary elegance results in a visually compelling sanctuary.
Expansive Living Area: A Story of Earthy Textures & Fluid Forms
To create a more open and airy atmosphere, a bedroom was merged into the living space, enhancing fluidity while fostering family interactions. The design embraces:

✔ Layered, wavy ceiling details creating a dynamic yet calming ambiance.
✔ Japandi-inspired cane & rattan accents enhancing warmth and tactility.
✔ A statement wooden coffee table with a sculptural rounded base adding depth.
A Kitchen & Dining Space with Balinese Character
Blending functionality and artistic elements, the kitchen & dining area serve as the heart of the home:
✔ Compact island kitchen with optimized storage solutions for efficient workflows.
✔ A dedicated pantry unit maintaining sleek organization.
✔ Balinese-inspired dining area with handcrafted wooden chairs and an eclectic dining table.
✔ Cane pendant lighting & curated wall art, bringing in natural warmth.
✔ A luxurious powder room, redefining sophistication with high-end finishes.

Each bedroom follows a unique aesthetic language, maintaining a unified palette of neutral tones, fabric paneling, and brass accents:

Second Bedroom: Neutral-hued wall cladding & circular ceiling patterns introducing subtle drama.
Third Bedroom: Elegant fabric paneling with brass detailing for a sophisticated, modern appeal.
